Built in 1877 for English tourists, the hotel offers a charm of the Belle Epoque in the heart of Paris. The Haussmann architectural details, such as the marble colonnades, the scroll staircase, and the series of reception rooms, create a majestic décor with a pleasantly retro style.

The hotel offers 117 rooms and suites. The cozy rooms are decorated with elegant decor in the French style, with stylish furnishings. The hotel, located in the 1st district, features a wonderful location. There are many world-known landmarks in the surrounding area: Sumptuous Paris City Hall, the Gothic Tour Saint-Jacques – the recently renovated tower which is the starting point for the pilgrimage to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, the Place de la Concorde as well as its famous obelisk, the Louvre and the Château de Saint-Germain, an equestrian statue of Louis XIV at the Cour Napoléon, both the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, Pyramid at the Louvre designed by the architect Pei and the Arche de la Défense are newer monuments on this list. The Palais-Royal and its gardens, Place Vendôme and its famous jewellery boutiques; the Comédie-Française, and the Tuileries Garden, which deserves a visit.
